Despite its clearly questionable features … addicted to X Factor

04Oct10

I find the best way to watch it is the recorded version after the event, when you can fast-forward through replays of Carmina Burna, Cheryl’s ‘concerned’ face and platitudes like “I am born to do this”.

It’s a combination between the shocking band names (Husstle, Princes and Rogues and One Direction are among my favourites), the tears (about 57 different in last night’s episode) and the innate pleasure in seeing people who are bloody great at singing.

It’s pap, baits the mentally ill and is a massive money spinner for those involved. Still addicted though.
